More than 95 per cent (!) of Hungarian enterprises are microbusinesses operated by 1-9 employees. Astonishing, isn't it? Especially, if we have a look at the amount of support they get to cope with business challenges. Our foundation has been focusing on microenterprises for 15 years now, which is unique, as this group has lacked attention of policy makers involved in economic development, and supporting organisations were not concerned about these enterprises. However, the European Union considers the development of SMEs and microenterprises the tool to increase its own competitiveness and this is slowly reflected n the Hungarian public supporting framework. The Foundation has been regularly organising events, conferences for a long time giving the opportunity for micro-entrepreneurs to meet experts, supporters and to build business relations with other entrepreneurs.
