More attention to family businesses!
SEED Foundation organised its Family Business Conference in September 2008. The topic was actual, because it is the time for succession as owners of businesses launched at the change of regime are retiring. SEED announced the winners of the Case Study Competition for Family Businesses on the conference. Our Foundation represents interests and problems through this event and tries fill in the gap created by business development policies and activities lacking the field of family businesses.
About 50 per cent of registered enterprises are family-owned and/or run. They face different problems than other enterprises, they have to cope with the sometimes ambivalent situations due to the emotional family bonds and to the parallel business co-operation of members. However, they do not have an alliance, nor other common body to represent their interests. SEED undertakes to pave their road in becoming significant player samong economic stakeholders.
